Giancarlo Stanton blasted a homer against the Rockies on Saturday. The Marlins might not win the game, but this hit is worth gawking over.
That’s incredible.
ESPN Stats & Info recorded Stanton’s hit to be a little shorter than MLB’s Statcast: 495 feet. But that’d still be good enough to be the longest homer since 2009.
Miami Herald Marlins beat writer Clark Spencer pointed out that (if we’re going by the Statcast measurement) it’s the longest homer ever hit at Coors Field.
It’s Stanton’s 23rd HR of the season. Here it is in Vine form so you can watch it over and over, if you wish.
Update: The Marlins lost to the Rockies, 12-6.
